Why: The most exciting things that had ever happened to me were the ones, when I went where I wanted to go, did what I wanted to do,ย  and spent time with people that I wanted to be with. And by saying this I do not mean denying duties, when we know we have to do certain things but we have millions of excuses to do something else. For instance instead of classes you go to see a movie. That’s just immature.

Blouse: Modelo.

Skirt: Bershka.

Shoes: Lorenzo.

Purse: thrift store, no label.

Earings: Kanela.

OMG Item: “The blouse from Modelo. I believe it’s a Spanish brand. I discovered it just recently when I was browsing some favorite thrift stores. At first I wasn’t sure if Ieven wanted to try it on. It looked so baggy and somewhat funky. I didn’t look like anything from my wardrobe. But something was very exciting about it so I figured there’s no arm in trying. And I loved it! Its floaty and silky; has a beautiful handmade peackock picture on one side. And the colour is somewhat peachy-orange but it’s made unevenly and looks even more interesting because of that. I absolutelly adore the sleeves!”

I could not think of any time more efficient to purchase so many bold colours as the end of the summer. Specially when all the runways flashed in bright neon-like colours, patterns, so bright, that you sometimes need sun glasses just to be able to look at them. (Hej, so maybe that’s the story behind all the sun-glassed faces during the indoor fashion shows! )

Anyhow, there are some particular things that I can not get enough and this time – it’s the blues.

When: September 20th, 2011. (more…)

A morning chill and a midday heat – a typical weather of a fruit harvest season. Apples, pears, peaches, melons, plums and grapes – a burst of all the greens , yellows, violets, purples and reds.

Why: Out of all, the fruit harvest season is the best season of the year for me. The landscapes errupt in deep rich colours, there are more contrasts than ever. I love fall. I do not care that it rains. There is nothing like a simple cozy day of autumn, when it’s still sunny and dry but not hot anymore. Cool, chilly evenings bring some wonderful opportunities to warm the house with home baked pies. And the smell… Doesn’t it make you feel like home more than ever?

Dress: Some Body.

Shoes: Melon.

Purse: Lyrella, vintage.

Plastic headband: Accessorize.

Earings: Kanela

OMG Item: “Lyrella purse. Bough it in a vintage shop in Stockholm. I cannot remember that jaw-dropping price but I couldn’t forget this interesting piece so I had to coem back to purhcase it. It’s made from six segments, each hand-decorated with very small beads and when the purse is stuffed with items it gets a beautiful rounded shape! That is very original and unique about it. It also has small black fringes on both sides.”

Actually, I couldn’t call myself a wine expert. Unfortunatelly. But I do enjoy a glass or two with a good company. As students, we used to drink something we could afford. But that didn’t matter: you go to heaven for weather and to hell for the company. ๐Ÿ™‚ That was the same here: two bottles of wine would bring us, eight friends and a guitar together. Which would then lead to endless talks and laughs.

When: September 15, 2011

Now, of course, everyone choses quality over quantity and quality over price. Once, when I was still at university, and that was not so long ago,ย  my friend and I discovered a small wine place nearby. For the first time, I had tried a Chinese plum wine. It’s golden in colour, and sweet, oh so sweet! It is more like a dessert than a drink. But it brought us some lovely ladies-time and I still remember that taste and smell fondly.

“What is the definition of a good wine? It should start and end with a smile.” ~ William Sokolin

Where: Old town, a wall with climbing wild grapes.

Now I have discovered a wine named ‘DUCLA’. I am not sure if it’s a fancy wine according to the standards. But I realy like it’s taste and consistency. It’s red and dark as a full cherry. Whenever I open a new bottle, the first mild scent makes me close my eyes and think of all the romantic and fun times when I drank it. And in my opinion, red tastes the best, when it comes from France…;)

Hello dear blog readers!

I am very happy to have you here and to welcome you to my very first post ๐Ÿ™‚

When: 12th of September, 2011

White top: H&M.

Pink blouse: Vero Moda.

Skirt: hand made.

Jewelry: Seppala.

Purse: Thrift store treasure, no label.

Shoes: Miss Sixty.

OMG Item: “Miss Sixty Shoes. The platform is thin and high which makes me taller, my legs longer and that is always a good thing, right? ๐Ÿ˜‰ The shoes aren’t as light as they might seem and since they are attached with learther strings, when you walk, it gets a little bit loose so you have to walk in smaller steps and cannot do much running. However, these qualities that may be a disadvantage for some girls really help to improve my walking – I heard many friends say that I walk really staight and elegant in them. A subtle yellow-violet detailing on the front makes it easy to match them with many summer outfits.”

Why: I am very often asked to help pick clothes for my friends to wear on various occasions as well as my girlfriends often come to borrow something from my collection of accessories. After a while I got myself to thinking: why couldn’t I share my style with everyone and perhaps even find people that like interesting unusual and inspiring things just like I do? I love chatting with peopleย  and I also like to see what other people are fond of . And that’s how this blog began ๐Ÿ™‚

Keeping it short, I want to just mention, that I take style and fashion as a fun way of expressing feelings, the mood of the day, the character, the charm of the moment. Many of stylish treasures that you will see on my blog, will not come from the designers but from the endless treasures dug out in thrift stores or vintage boutiques.

I have a lot more outfits, interesting ideas and favorites to share. So stay tuned! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Where: Hill of Taurus, Vilnius, Lithuania.

Who: the photographs were taken by Dovydas Toleikis: a wonderful friend and a true professional.ย

Yours trully,
